The Role
The Role
We are recruiting for a Trader to join our Trading team. The Trading team execute all of Record’s daily FX trades and other products, including futures, swaps, bonds and cash. As a Trader you will be required to gain an in-depth understanding of the range of FX trading strategies employed in each client portfolio to trade. The Trading team are also responsible for monitoring FX market developments, providing regular information to our various investment teams, and are involved with quantitative trade data analysis.
Record Currency Management
Record Currency Management is an established, independent currency manager, managing approximately $83.1bn (as at 31 March 2022) in client currency exposures. Our clients are largely institutions, including pension funds, charities, foundations, endowments, and family offices. Record’s services include bespoke currency hedging, currency for return and additional currency solutions and consulting services.
You will be offered a package including a base salary, 11% pension, bonus, pension, hybrid working, flexible working hours, private medical care, insurance, holiday, study support, subsidised gym membership and a number of other salary sacrifice benefit options. A hybrid working pattern will also be discussed and agreed within the team to allow some Remote working/’Work from Home’.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of daily FX trades
- Execution of other products, such as swaps, futures, bonds and cash
- Analyse executed trade data for the purpose of transaction cost analysis and product development
- Monitor FX market developments and provide regular information to the company
- Develop and maintain an in depth knowledge of the range of FX trading strategies employed in each client portfolio
Requirements
Essential:
- First or upper second class degree (or international equivalent). Degree, preferably mathematical based, or at least some mathematical/statistical based modules undertaken
- Strong data analysis, numerical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, works well both in a team and independently.
- Experience or an interest in quantitative data manipulation-through e.g. MS Excel.
Preferred:
- Strong writing skills.
- A keen interest in financial markets and investment and a desire to learn more in this area.
